​His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, yesterday afternoon received in audience Her Excellency The Right Honourable Patricia Scotland, Secretary-General of the Commonwealth. The ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman.

During the Audience Ceremony, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Excellency the Secretary-General discussed matters pertaining to the Commonwealth including priorities and commitments agreed by Leaders at the 2018 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) held in London last April. Also present at the ceremony were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd. Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Hajah Dayang Siti Norishan binti Haji Abdul Ghafor, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
