​His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam conferred Brunei Darussalam State Decorations to 183 recipients. The conferment of Brunei Darussalam State Decorations was in conjunction of His Majesty's 72nd Birthday. The ceremony took place at the Balai Singgahsana Indera Kenchana, Istana Nurul Iman, yesterday afternoon.

 Also present were;

- His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office;

- His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik;

- His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Wakeel;

- His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah;

- His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah and

- His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah.

The ceremony began with the conferment of Darjah Seri Ugama Islam Negara Brunei Yang Amat Bersinar, Third Class, SSUB, to three recipients.

One recipient was conferred Darjah Paduka Seri Laila Jasa Yang Amat Berjasa, Third Class, SLJ.

 His Majesty then conferred Darjah Seri Paduka Mahkota Brunei Yang Amat Mulia, Third Class, SMB, to 17 recipients. The recipients comprising of officers from the Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Education. The conferment of Brunei Darussalam State Decorations reflected His Majesty's appreciation to the contributions and services of each recipient in the various fields of national development.

 Four recipients were conferred Darjah Seri Ugama Islam Negara Brunei Yang Amat Bersinar, Fourth Class, SUB. The recipients comprising of officers from the Prime Minister's Office and the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

His Majesty then conferred Darjah Setia Negara Brunei Yang Amat Bahagia, Fourth Class, PSB, to 135 recipients. Two of the recipients were members of the Legislative Council. Apart from the government servants, the recipients were also those from the private sector. The conferment of the State Decorations were meant to motivate the recipients to continue their good contributions and services to the government and the country.

 His Majesty also conferred Darjah Seri Ugama Islam Negara Brunei Yang Amat Bersinar, Fifth Class, PUB, to 23 recipients from the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

 Doa Selamat was read by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.

 Also in attendance were Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran-Pengiran Cheteria, Cabinet Ministers, Members of the Legislative Council, Deputies Minister, Pengiran-Pengiran Peranakan, Pehin-Pehin Manteri, Manteri-Manteri Pedalaman, Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Permanent Secretaries and Heads of Government Departments.
