Prime Minister Of Malaysian On A Two-Day Official Visit To Brunei Darussalam

​Yang Amat Berhormat, Tun Dato Laila Utama Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamed, the Prime Minister of Malaysia and wife, Yang Amat Berbahagia Tun Datin Dr. Siti Hasmah binti Mohd Ali, and delegation, arrived in Bandar Seri Begawan yesterday afternoon for a two-day Official Visit to the country.

 

Present at the Brunei International Airport to welcome Yang Amat Berhormat the Prime Minister of Malaysia and wife on arrival were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, as Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab-Rahaman.

 

Yang Amat Berhormat the Prime Minister of Malaysia and wife were introduced to Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Second Minister of Finance, as the Minister-in-Attendance, and Datin; Yang Berhormat  Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yussof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Datin; and His Excellency Dato Paduka Haji Alaihuddin bin Pehin Orang Kaya DiGadong Seri Lela Dato Seri Utama Haji Mohd Taha, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia.

 

Yang Amat Berhormat the Prime Minister of Malaysia and wife proceeded to walk past a Static Guard of Honour mounted by personnel of the Royal Brunei Land Forces.

 

Also present to greet Yang Amat Berhormat and wife were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang haji Ali bin Apong, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism and Datin; Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Second Minister of Defence and Datin; Dato Seri Paduka Awang Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Deputy Minister of Finance and Datin;  and Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Matsatejo bin Sokiaw, Deputy Minister of Energy (Energy and Manpower) and Industry and Datin; Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jammy bin Haji Muhd Shah Al-Islam and Datin; and Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces and Datin. Also present, ASEAN Foreign Envoys in Brunei Darussalam; as well as Permanent Secretaries at the Prime Minister's Office and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

 

The Prime Minister of Malaysia's delegation includes Yang Berhormat Dato' Saifuddin bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia and Datin; and Yang Berbahagia Dato' Seri Ramlan bin Ibrahim, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia. Yang Amat Berhormat was sworn in as the new Prime Minister of Malaysia on the 10th of May 2018.
