​His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in his titah also said that one of the important instrument of the ASEAN Concord 2 Declaration set out in Bali in 2003 is the goal of a broad and comprehensive ASEAN Security Community (ASC). The ASC is founded by three pillars namely political and security cooperation, economic integration and socio-cultural cooperation and is central in realizing this vision of peace and prosperity for ASEAN. In this regard, the monarch added, as a multilateral body, it is crucial for ASEANAPOL to share the responsibility in the effort to achieve the objective of an ASEAN Security Community by 2020. Through its valuable work, ASEANAPOL can contribute to making the ASEAN Security Community a reality and success.
