Samsung to Invest Further in Curved TV Technology

JALAN STADIUM, BERAKAS

Electronic giant Samsung is expected to continue to invest in curved TV technology this year after the market saw a shift in trend from 3D TV to curved-screen TV.

This was shared by Stanley Chan and his team of representatives from Samsung Singapore Pte Lte, who were in the country to launch the new Samsung curved-screen 4K SUHD TV 65" at the 18th Consumer Fair (CF18) held at the International Convention Centre.

"The curved-screen TV has got a benefit of lower light refection and viewing experience is enhanced because you feel more closed within any seating position. Hence, the experience is more '3D' or 'real-like' without even wearing the troublesome 3D glasses," he said.

The shift in trend has been clear not just in the local but also international market, he said, adding that Samsung and other brands are promoting less of 3D TV.

The Samsung KS9500 Curved 4K SUHD TV 65", which was launched yesterday, delivers an unparalleled blend of form and function for the ultimate viewing experience.

The Quantum Dot Colour technology envelops viewers in the best picture Samsung can offer to date.
