MinComm Dialogue Session Highlighted Key Issues at Muara Port

The Ministry of Communications held a dialogue yesterday with stakeholders to identify the strengths, opportunities and challenges at Muara Port in order to enhance the port's connectivity and competitiveness.

 

The dialogue sought feedback on actions to improve the quality of service, facilities and infrastructure to make the port one of the trans-shipment hubs in the BIMP-EAGA region.

 

The dialogue was attended by the Minister of Communications, Yang Berhormat Dato Paduka Awang Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat.

 

Also present were the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Communications, Awang Haji Azhar bin Haji Ahmad; directors, senior officers from the ministry and its departments, as well as government agencies.

 

The dialogue was facilitated by Dr. Jonathon Beard, a consultant seconded from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
