The State-level Harvest Festival celebration’s Main Implementation and Coordinating Committee on Wednesday paid a courtesy call on Head of State Tun Haji Juhar Mahiruddin and his wife Toh Puan Hajah Norlidah R.M Jasni at the Istana Negeri.

The courtesy call was led by the Committee’s chairman Datuk Seri Panglima Dr Clarence Bongkos Malakun representing the chairman of the main organizing committee Huguan Siou Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan.

According to Clarence, the courtesy call was made to extend an invitation to Juhar and his wife to be the guest of honour of the annual celebration’s closing ceremony at Hongkod Koisaan on May 31.

“We also extended our invitation to Toh Puan Norlidah to crown the 2016 Unduk Ngadau on the same day,” he said.

During the visit, the committee also presented two cakes to the Head of State in conjunction with the Harvest Festival celebration.

Earlier, the committee paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman and at the same time extended their invitation to the latter to be the guest of honour at the opening of the annual celebration on May 30.
