​His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented for the formation of a Humanitarian Aid Fund called the Sulawesi Disaster Humanitarian Fund, TKBS and the formation of the Special Committee known as the National Committee of Sulawesi Disaster Humanitarian Fund. In this regard, the launching of the SMS Brunei Prihatin Sulawesi Disaster Humanitarian Fund, TKBS was held yesterday afternoon at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

 Present to officiate the SMS Brunei Prihatin were Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs; and Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports as co-advisors of the National Committee of the Sulawesi Disaster Humanitarian Fund.

 The launching of the SMS Brunei Prihatin TKBS is part of efforts to provide a facility for the public to donate. The SMS Brunei Prihatin is jointly organised by DST Communications Sendirian Berhad and Progresif Cellular Sendirian Berhad, PCSB. The SMS collection will run for 45 days starting today until the 22nd of November. Members of the public who wish to donate can do so through SMS by typing BANTU without space followed by the amount to be donated either 1, 5, 10, 15 or 20, and send to 38111. Members of the public can also donate online to Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam, BIBD to account no '00001010076007'.
