His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send messages of congratulations to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayarangkun, The King of Thailand and to His Excellency Retired General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand as well as to the people of the Kingdom of Thailand on the occasion of the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand.

 In the message to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayarangkun, The King of Thailand, His Majesty expressed his great appreciation for the close and warm friendship shared between the two countries and its people, and looked forward to deepening these valuable ties in the years ahead.

 In a similar message to His Excellency (Retired) General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of Thailand, His Majesty greatly appreciated the close and long-standing relations shared between the two countries and people. Furthermore, His Majesty looked forward to work closely with His Excellency in strengthening these much-valued ties, bilaterally and regionally, especially in ASEAN, and assured His Excellency that Brunei Darussalam fully support for Thailand's Chairmanship next year.

 In ending the messages, His Majesty conveyed his best wishes to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayarangkun, and all members of the Royal Family as well as to His Excellency (Retired) General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, and the people of the Kingdom of Thailand for a happy celebration.
