Visit to Housing Area

The government's management and planning on the national housing project have become the main attention of a delegation of visitor from the neighbouring country, Sabah who are on a four-day visit to Brunei Darussalam. The delegation comprising of officers and staff of the Department of Town and Country Planning of Sabah. Yesterday morning, the delegation visited the Lugu National Housing Scheme in the Brunei Muara District.
The visitors, led by Haji Mursidi bin Haji Sapie, Director of Town and Country Planning of Sabah, were greeted on arrival at the Lugu National Housing Scheme by Awang Haji Shaharuddin Khairul bin Haji Anuar, Acting Director of Housing Development. During the visit, the delegation heard a briefing on the National Housing Scheme, its establishment history and achievement.
The delegation then took a closer look at the housing area as well as public facilities provided at the Lugu National Housing Scheme. The Director of Town and Country Planning of Sabah also planted a tree at the playground area.
The visitors then took a closer look at the cluster house built at the area. The Lugu National Housing Scheme has one thousand units of cluster houses with 4 units of cluster houses for every block with an area of 130 square metre for every unit. Every unit of a cluster house has 4 bedrooms with 3 toilets, a living room, dining room and kitchen as well as a garage.
