BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN
The No Plastic Bag Everyday Initiative is an effort to achieve the target of reducing the amount of waste production as well as encouraging the habit of recycling among the country's society by practising the 3-R's, Reuse, Reduce and Recycle. RTB's crew also took a closer look at shopping centres and businesses in the Tutong District when the initiative started yesterday.
The initiative encourages the public to together reduce the use of plastic bags as well as waste that need to be disposed at the disposal site and at the same time contribute to the reduction of waste production by 2035. The effort requires the involvement and interest of all parties to make a success of the plastic pollution reduction effort. The initiative received positive response from the public from the aspect of using alternative methods that are more environmentally friendly such as using recyclable bags every time they shop.
