300 people took part in the 73 times Khatam Al-Quran ceremony organised by Kampung Sungai Akar Consultative Council and Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah Mosque Takmir committee in conjunction with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 73rd Birthday celebration for this year. The officiating ceremony took place this morning at Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah Mosque in Kampung Sungai Akar.

In attendance were Yang Berhormat (Retired) Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports AND Yang Berhormat Pengiran Haji Ali bin Pengiran Maun, Member of the Legislative Council who is also the Penghulu of Mukim Berakas B.

The ceremony ran concurrently with the launch of Tadabur Al-Quran programme for the mosque which will be held every Friday to enhance understanding on the contents of the Holy Quran among the congregants. The ceremony coincided with tadabur Al-Quran on Surah Al-Fatihah, delivered by Awang Mohammad Fikri bin Haji Sharbini, Education Officer at the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute.
