Brunei Darussalam through the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism and with the Brunei Embassy in Vietnam hosted the Brunei Night Reception in conjunction with the 38th ASEAN Tourism Forum. The function was held at Wyndham Legend Ha Long Hotel, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh, Viet Nam. 

In his speech Yang Berhormat, Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism highlighted the cultural, natural and heritage among the Brunei Darussalam's attractions that presents prosperity, safety and stability. Yang Berhormat added that the Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Mosque is Brunei Darussalam's most famous landmark, and one of the most beautiful mosques in Asia Pacific. The ASEAN Tourism Forum 2020 promotional video of Brunei Darussalam was also showcased during the reception reflecting what Brunei Darussalam as the next ATF host country has to offer in terms of showcasing various tourism products and attractions.

During the reception, various selections of Brunei local favourite culinary dishes and drinks such as Pulut Gumpal Serunding, Laksa Tahai, Otak-Otak, Bubur Si Bujang and Celurut. The event also highlighted by Brunei cultural performances such as the Samalindang, Joget Hati Tertawan and Aduk-Aduk.
