Raising the reputation of the local theatrical arts to the international arena is among the objectives of the Putra Seni Group in upholding the local heritage that is now facing the influence from modern music.

According to Pengiran Haji Kamarudin bin Pengiran Haji Othman, Head of Putra Seni Group, one of the efforts to raise the status of the local theatrical art is by preserving the folk songs.

Among the theatrical play presented are folklores, legendary drama sketches and children songs.

Established in 1984, Putra Seni Group brings together local talents, mostly school students.

Through theatrical performances, the members can develop their skills towards learning more in-depth about the field of arts.
