The Hecas 2019 (1st Round) online application to local Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), i.e. University Brunei Darussalam (UBD), University Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), University Technology Brunei (UTB), Polytechnic Brunei (PB) and for the Brunei Government Overseas Scholarship under Scholarship Section, Ministry of Education for the academic year 2019/2020 will commence on Monday, 4th February 2019 at 8:30 in the morning and will be closed on Tuesday, 26th February 2019 at 4:30 in the afternoon.

The programme levels on offer are Level 5 Diploma, Higher National Diploma and first Degree programmes.

Applicants are only allowed to select a maximum of TWO programmes from each of the local HEIs and ONE programme for Scholarship Section, Ministry of Education. The total number of programmes which applicants can select is SIX. Applicants who wish to apply for overseas scholarship MUST also apply to at least ONE programme offered by HEIs. Applicants are advised to submit or email all relevant hardcopy including printed HECAS form to institution applied before or not later than 3 working days after the HECAS closing date on the 26th of this month.ini. 

The HECAS online application is opened for holders of valid Brunei Darussalam issued identity cards (yellow/purple/green).  HECAS does not process applications of government servants applying for in-service training or foreign applicants who do not have valid smart cards.
