His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Chairman of the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Committee of Governors in a sabda reminded all parties in Yayasan to always practise prudent spending, focusing more on achieving the main goal which is to provide assistance to those truly needing it. In the financial year of 2019, the Yayasan Board of Directors has approved an estimated budget of 20 million 9 hundred 69 thousand 8 hundred and 52 dollars. His Royal Highness made the sabda while chairing the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Committee of Governors first meeting for this year. His Royal Highness also praised the strategic measure made by the Yayasan Board of Directors to establish a fund called Sinking Fund for the purpose of protecting assets or upgrading infrastructure. The meeting took place yesterday morning at the Prime Minister's Office, Jalan Perdana Menteri.

The arrival of His Royal Highness was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Second Minister of Defence, as the Chairman of the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Board of Directors; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy, as the Deputy Chairman of the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Board of Directors and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, as a Member of the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Board of Directors.

The function began with a reading of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs, as a Member of the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Committee of Governors.

His Royal Highness in his sabda touched on a number of issues among them steps to beautify Kampung Bolkiah and the auditing carried out on Yayasan.

In the sabda, His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik also underscored on matters that the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah School need to improve on before making the school into a Centre Of Excellence as aspired. Touching on the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex, His Royal Highness was of the understanding that certain measures have been taken to implement improvements on the Yayasan Complex.

Among the discussed agenda were the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Strategic Plan; Yayasan Planning for 2019 and Permanent Agenda Report of Board of Directors Meetings. Among the attendees were Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs, as a Member of the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Committee of Governors and members of the Yayasan Board of Directors.
