BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

In an effort to instil patriotism through art, 39 local artists from various art studios have gathered to create a giant hashtag panel to further enliven the 35th National Day celebration. The panel is being displayed at the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex in the capital.

The project was carried out by the Art and Culture Section of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. Among the participating studios include Guerrilla Artchitects Studio, Studio Seni Kolektif, the BirdHouse Studio, SketchOne Studio and Arttralia. According to Dayang Wan Nur Zahidah binti Metussin, the project manager, it is hoped that such a project can highlight local talents.

Throughout the project, local artists have faced various challenges such as short time span to complete the panel. The art they produced is hoped to further enliven the celebration's atmosphere.

The public are welcomed to view the panel at the Yayasan complex, which will then be transferred to the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar 'Ali Saifuddien in the capital to further enliven the 35th National Day celebration.
