Get-Together Ceremony with Citizens and Residents of Brunei Darussalam in Malaysia

The Get-Together Ceremony with citizens and residents of Brunei Darussalam who are currently in Malaysia provided opportunity to His Majesty to further strengthen the relations with his subjects and students who are currently studying in Malaysia. More than One Thousand 3 Hundred people attended the ceremony which took place at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
Upon arrival at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was greeted by Datin Seri Paduka Doctor Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd. Salleh, Deputy Minister of Education, His Excellency Dato Paduka Haji Alaihuddin bin Pehin Orang Kaya Digadong Seri Lela Dato Seri Utama Haji Mohd. Taha, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia; and Awang Mohammad Fakhirin bin Dato Paduka Haji Zainal, the President of Brunei Student Council Malaysia (BSCM).
His Majesty's arrival was accompanied with a Marhaban presentation by Brunei students from the Darul Quran Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (JAKIM); the Selangor International Islamic University College; and the International Islamic University Malaysia.
The ceremony proceeded with the recitation of Al-Qur'an verses by Awang Mohammad Wafiy bin Awang Mohamad, student of the International Islamic University Malaysia and the reading of the translation by Awang Mohammad Aiman bin Haji Mohd. Mansor, student of the Selangor International Islamic University College.
To bless the Ceremony, the Doa Selamat was recited by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Doctor) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.
Awang Mohammad Fakhirin bin Dato Paduka Haji Zainal, the President of BSCM on behalf of the citizens and residents of Brunei Darussalam who attended the Ceremony conveyed a pledge of unwavering loyalty and allegiance to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. His Majesty also received a pesambah from the students of Brunei Darussalam.
His Majesty then proceeded to mingle with some 1,363 citizens and residents of Brunei Darussalam who are currently in Malaysia, comprising of students, government officials who are on duty and attending courses as well as those on vacation with their families. In the ceremony, the Monarch reminded the students specifically who are studying abroad to avoid any unnecessary activities that can mislead their main purposes and maintain their commitment in accordance to the Malay Islamic Monarchy.
