​The 1st Meeting of the 15th Session of the Legislative Council began today with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam emphasising the importance of the young generation in the country's development agenda and its measures to diversify the economy. In the titah, the Monarch also voices concern on the rising rate of unemployment, adding that the issue should be studied and a solution found. According to His Majesty, it is a part of the people's well-being that must be given priority. Delivering the titah during the opening ceremony of the 1st Meeting of 15th Session of the Legislative Council, His Majesty also stresses the need for the youth to be given spiritual motivation because they are the nation's assets and driving force behind its development.
