4th Brunei Open and Masters Swimming Championship

​Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah yesterday morning graced the 4th Brunei Open and Masters Swimming Championship for 7 to 9 Years Old in which Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah took part in the competition. The championship took place the International School Brunei, ISB.

 

Also present were His Royal Highness the Crown Prince's children, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda 'Abdul Muntaqim and Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda Muhammad Aiman.

 

In the championship, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah who represented Hammerheads Swimming Club took part in 6 categories namely the 50-metre freestyle; 25-meter butterfly stroke; 25-metre backstroke; 25-metre breaststroke; 25-metre freestyle and the 100-metre freestyle relay.

 

In the 50-metre freestyle, Yang Teramat Mulia placed second with a record of 53.70 seconds.

 

Meanwhile in the 25-meter butterfly stroke, Yang Teramat Mulia also took second place in 25.15 seconds.

 

Whereas in the 25-metre backstroke, Yang Teramat Mulia took first place with a new best personal record of 25.33 seconds.

 

Yang Teramat Mulia also placed first in the 25-metre breaststroke and recorded new personal best record of 26.94 seconds.

 

In the 25-metre freestyle, Yang Teramat Mulia took second place with a record of 24.44 seconds.

 

Meanwhile in the 100-metre freestyle relay, Hammerhead Swimming Club A participated by Yang Teramat Mulia placed third with a time of 1 minute 35.08 seconds.

 

Over one hundred swimmers from 15 swimming clubs including those from Miri, Sarawak and Labuan Federal Territory. The championship was organised by the Brunei Amateur Swimming Association with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
