His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam this afternoon watched the Stage Performance for Year 7 students at Jerudong International School, JIS. Among those that took part was His Majesty's son, His Royal highness Prince 'Abdul Wakeel.

Upon arrival at the JIS Arts Centre Auditorium, His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri were greeted by Barnaby Sandow, the school's Principal and Dayang Linda Tan, the school's Director of Trade Section. Also in attendance was Her Royal highness Princess Ameerah Wardatul Bolkiah.

More than 130 students took part in the stage performance based on Aesop's fables, ancient Greek writer and philosopher, used as a guidance for the planning process whereby students are taught to explore and develop ideas. Jerudong International School has more than one thousand 600 international students from several countries and also local students.

To empower students with communication skills, teamwork, leadership and a wide understanding of the world, JIS provides one hour a week drama lessons for Years 3 to 8 students with a specialist Drama teacher.

The students' performance showed their collaboration in challenging and inspiring one another with their version of the ancient fables. Specifically for Year 7, these students has studied as well as produced their works by develop their use of based the technical elements of drama.

His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Wakeel joined his fellow students in the performance of the drama, The Boy Who Cried Wolf.

The highlight of the event was the whole year 7 group performance depicting the story of A Wise Man is warned by the Misfortune of Others.

Before leaving Jerudong International School, His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri took a group photo with the performers.
