​With the increase of connectivity by the national airline, Royal Brunei, RB, around the region and beyond, there will be an increasing demand for diversity of tourism packages and products being offered. This according to the Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism is not only for the international market but also for the domestic market. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong said in comparison to 2017, the Ministry saw an increase of 7.4 percent of tourists coming into Brunei last year and is believed to steadily increase over time. Yang Berhormat made the speech at the launch of the "Brunei River Heritage Trail" promotion, at the Bandar Seri Begawan Royal Wharf yesterday morning.

The promotion of 'Brunei River Heritage Trail' is an initiative is an initiative of the Tourism Development Department as part of its promotional efforts in showcasing tourism products available in the country. The package features Brunei River as a tourist destination. The Brunei River itself has a rich history and a multitude of stories, and with the launch of this heritage trail, aims to bolster the preservation of the Bruneian culture and heritage. With the continuous involvement and collaboration with stakeholders, agents and the local community, the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism is committed to developing more tourism products and attracting more visitors to Brunei Darussalam.
