His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam this morning attended the Opening Ceremony of The 2nd Belt And Road Forum For International Cooperation, which was held at China National Convention Center in Beijing.

Accompanying His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to the Opening Ceremony was His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen.

Upon arrival at the Convention Center, His Majesty, together with His Excellency Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China and other Heads of State and Government, thereafter, proceeded to the Auditorium for the Opening Ceremony.

The ceremony began with a Keynote Speech by His Excellency President Xi Jinping. This was followed by speeches from other Heads of State and Government and was concluded by a speech from the Secretary-General of the United Nations.
