A trial date has been fixed in the case of a local man, who pleaded not guilty in the Magistrate's Court last week, to three charges of outraging the modesty of his 13-year-old stepdaughter.

Senior Magistrate Haji Nabil Daraina bin Pehin Dato Ustaz Haji Badaruddin settled on October 2016 for the next appearance of the 30-year-old defendant, whose name has been withheld.

Charges levelled by DPP Shamshuddin bin Haji Kamaluddin allege that the defendant outraged the girl's modesty on three occasions, at their Kampong Ayer home, in March.
