Domino’s Delivery Driver Tries To Deliver Pizza To The Queen After Prank Call

When the Queen hosted Donald Trump at Buckingham Palace, they dined on steamed fillet of halibut with watercress mousse, followed by a saddle of new season Windsor lamb.

The state banquet adhered to all the pomp and ceremony you’d expect – so afterwards, was the Queen craving a simpler meal of four large cheeseburger pizzas?

Someone working at Domino’s clearly thought so, after they fulfilled a £46 order to deliver to ‘Elizabeth’ at Buckingham Palace.

Bless them; they obviously didn’t realise it was a prank call on June 6.

The pizzas were duly delivered to the central London address, where security told them there had been a mistake and there was no call for pizza.

A source told the Sun the driver was stopped by two armed police officers.

‘One of them then radioed through to the control room to check if the Queen had indeed ordered a pizza,’ they said.

‘The next thing the copper said was ‘Sorry sir, Elizabeth is the name of the Queen – and she lives at Buckingham Palace. I think someone is winding you up.’

Domino’s told the paper they tracked the order to a store in London Victoria, where payment had been promised upon delivery.

Store manager Zsuzsanna Queiser said: ‘We’ve always suspected the Queen was a secret Domino’s fan and the order to Buckingham Palace almost confirmed our suspicions.

‘We didn’t quite make it past the gate, but the four large Cheeseburger pizzas seemed to go down pretty well with the police officers on duty. Next time, Your Majesty.’

The Met Police said they didn’t comment on security matters.
