Court to Find New Evidence, Finalise Charges in Child Abduction Case

The Magistrate's Court yesterday gave the prosecution two weeks to find new evidence and finalise charges in a case in which a sixty-three-year-old man is accused of kidnapping a 10-year-old student from a primary school in Belait District.
The defendant, Brahim bin Haji Kassim, faces a charge which carries penalty of a maximum 10 years' imprisonment and a fine.
Chief Magistrate Muhammed Faisal bin Pehin Dato Kefli posted the case for July. DPP Rozaimah binti Abdul Rahman represented the Public Prosecutor yesterday.
