Official Closing Ceremony And Gala Dinner Of Asian Junior Wushu Championship 2019

​His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council graced the Gala Dinner and Official Closing Ceremony of the Asian Junior Wushu Championship 2019. The function took place at Hua Ho Manggis Mall.

 

Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was greeted by Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. Also in attendance was His Royal Highness' daughter, Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak 'Aliyah Amalul Bulqiah.

 

The Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports in his speech said that the presence of His Royal Highness at the ceremony reflects His Royal Highness' esteemed leadership and continuous dedication to Wushu and sports development in Brunei Darussalam. He added that the personal involvement and wisdom of His Royal Highness throughout the planning and overall execution of the Championship were of tremendous value for all the participants and organizers. Yang Berhormat the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports also expressed appreciation to the Wushu Federation of Asia for the encouragement and trust given to Brunei Darussalam in hosting the 10th Asian Junior Wushu Championship 2019.

 

His Royal Highness then presented Certificates of Appreciation to Mr. Mahdi Alinejad, Vice-President of the Wushu Federation of Asia and Mr. Jin Xiao Bin Chairman of the Jury of Appeal.

 

265 athletes from 16 countries participated in the 5 day competition. In the overall tally, the People's Republic of China was at the top with 20 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals. Meanwhile Brunei Darussalam was placed in the top ten with 4 Golds, 2 Silvers and 1 Bronze.
