Trial Fixed for Local Theft

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN
The Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate's Court yesterday fixed the theft case involving a thirty-four-year-old local man for trial from May 18-21.
Despite Suhidi bin Wahab's previous guilty plea to the charge, Magistrate Dewi Norlelawati binti Haji Abdul Hamid ordered for trial after hearing the defendant saying that he did not have the intention to steal.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Vuina Song who preferred the charge of theft against the defendant will be conducting the trial.
The alleged theft took place in building at a house on Jalan Kecil, Kampong Penanjong, Tutong on March 12 at 10am.
Among the missing items, allegedly stolen by the defendant, were a hand bag containing wallets, personal cards, keys, a watch, a bangle, gold rings and cash worth $1,800, US$100 and RM117.
