In separate mentions, the Magistrate's Court ordered two companies to settle fines for not paying income tax.

Senior Magistrate Lailatul Zubaidah Hussain imposed a BND$5,000 fine on Sitikayah Sendirian Berhad, to be settled within three months.

Sitikayah had failed to return income tax for the years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.

Magistrate Hajah Ervy Sufitriana binti Haji Abdul Rahman imposed a BND$3,000 fine on Hakats Sendirian Berhad, to be settled within four months.

Hakats had failed to return income tax for 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. DPP Amiriah binti Haji Ali prosecuted.
