GHK Motors Sendirian Berhad, the sole dealership for Mitsubishi vehicles in Brunei will be unveiling the new 2016 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport SUV and L200 Pickup at its launch this evening (April 2) at The Mall in Gadong.

The all-new Pajero Sport is the third-generation mid-size SUV bringing a refined and high-quality exterior design, high-quality vehicle performance and a comfortable interior, environmental performance, and comprehensive advanced safety features, GHK Motors said in a press release.

GHK Motors added that the all-new Pajero Sport is powered by a 2.4L MIVEC turbo diesel engine, mated to a new 8-speed automatic transmission (first for a Mitsubishi model) developed for the all-new Pajero Sport, which returns a 17 per cent improvement in fuel economy over its predecessor.

The 2016 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is also the second model to feature Mitsubishi's 'Dynamic Shield' front end, with the first being the Outlander, featuring stylish design of chrome in the front fascia, sleek headlamps and LED daytime running lights, and a new bumper design.

At the back, it features a striking pair of vertically-oriented taillight clusters and a re-designed lift gate.

Meanwhile GHK Motors said the new Mitsubishi L200 is the fifth generation pickup and was developed as 'The ultimate sport utility truck' and to provide an interior space with comfort levels on par with a passenger model.

The L200 uses 2.5-litre intercooled turbocharged DOHC high power diesel engine which complies with European emission regulations.

In countries where it's already been launched, automotive journalists who have driven the new L200 were extremely complimentary about the quiet car-like drive it offers.

The fully revised suspension enables car-like ride comfort and superb driving stability.

Stiffer suspension springs and expanded stabilisers in front reduce body roll, provide quicker handling response and ensure a safer ride when the driver is required to make sudden manoeuvres to avoid obstacles.

The combination of finely-tuned rear shock absorbers and an extension of the rear leaf springs further contribute to a quieter and more comfortable ride.

Pre-booking is available from now until April 3.
