A late evening thunderstorm caused flash floods and brought down trees in several parts of the Klang Valley Wednesday, resulting in massive jams around the city.
Both Jalan Pudu and Jalan Raja Chulan were inundated with water at around 6pm, but it subsided within 50 minutes.
The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department also reported several fallen trees due to the heavy rain.

Meanwhile, residential areas were not spared, with one house in Kampung Seputih damaged by fallen trees, while parts of the Middle Ring Road 2 and Jalan Kolam Air in Taman Melawati were blocked as well.
Nearby Bank Negara, Jalan Bunus (headed into Jalan Raja Laut) was also blocked by fallen branches, which were quickly removed by rescue personnel.
The Department also reported that a parking garage at the Sri Bangsar Apartments in Jalan Lengguk Abdullah collapsed, damaging four cars, while three cars were damaged in the Bank Negara KTM incident.
