A masked looter was caught on camera striding out of a ransacked restaurant with an entire cheesecake during chaotic protests over George Floyd’s death.
Peaceful protests turned into violent riots in Seattle, Washington over the weekend and numerous videos showed demonstrators clashing with police as they demanded justice over the death of Floyd, who was killed on Monday in Minneapolis, Minnesota after police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck despite pleas that he could not breathe.
Amid the bedlam in Seattle on Saturday, a masked woman was seen gingerly walking with an entire strawberry cheesecake, complete with whipped cream topping, which appeared to be stolen from The Cheesecake Factory.
KIRO 7 reported that the windows of The Cheesecake Factory were completely smashed and looters were seen taking bottles of liquor and deserts from a display case.
The riots also saw police cars and vehicles torched, buildings vandalized and windows shattered.

In response to the protests, Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan announced an emergency curfew from 5pm to 5am on Saturday and Sunday in an attempt to curtail the violence and damage across the city.
On Saturday, the mayor tweeted; ‘I hope that we can treat each other with the kindness and compassion that we all deserve during the unprecedented and trying moment in our history. I think that we will see the message of destruction is not as strong as the message of hope, love and peace.’

However, amid the chaos, the cheesecake looter gave viewers around the world a lighthearted optic as civil unrest continues to escalate.
The footage of the dessert theft has been viewed more than one million times and many online have dubbed her a ‘hero.’
