This is Leo, an adorably cute little rabbit that was born without any ears.

Possibly because of a genetic defect, little Leo was the only one of eight siblings to enter the world without trademark floppy ears.

Owner Kylie Clarke, 31, was worried he wouldn’t survive or be able to hear but she said his shortage of ears hasn’t affected him at all.

And while she’s going to give away the rest of the bunnies, she’s decided to keep Leo as a pet.

Kylie, from Belfast, Northern Ireland, said: ‘I’ve never seen anything like it before.

‘She’s just beautiful. We called her Leo because she just looks like a wee mini lion.

‘Once Leo was born I knew something wasn’t right, she didn’t look right. Then as she got older you could see the she’s been born with completely no ears’ said Clarke

‘I was really scared at the start at the start, but when I stared doing a bit more research I realised its so so rare to happen but it can happen.

‘I have four kids, two girls and two boys, they just think its great. They think its a miracle, if anything it gets more attention than the other rabbits’

‘As far as I’ve researched there’s no spot on explanation really. She’s otherwise happy and healthy!’

The homemaker and mum-of-four has been a professional rabbit breeder for more than a year.

Leo, a mixed breed, was born six weeks ago. He’s due to have a vet check this week, but seems to be perfectly healthy.
