In support of local talent in performing arts, a full-house was on hand to witness the electrifying two hour and 20-minute musical performance 'BELLE' organised by Relentless Entertainment at the JIS Arts Centre on Friday night.
Performed by a cast of 39 individuals with a crew of 25 people, the 'BELLE' performance managed to impress the audience including the guest of honour, Awang Wardi bin Haji Mohammad Ali, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Tourism) at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism.
Held in conjunction with the 9th anniversary and World Autism Awareness month (April), the musical was approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs and was supported by Brunei Tourism as well as the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
According to Amy Cheong, the co-producer and co-director of the musical, "Many people were amazed with the high quality of the performance. Our cast and crew have worked very hard in preparation to produce such a thrilling performance on stage."
This will be the 3rd time Relentless Entertainment organised a large-scale musical production.
Relentless' first performance was an original, 'Enchanted Forest' in 2013 and last year, they also produced Poppins' the musical on March 28 and 29.
Both musicals took place at the Jerudong Park Amphitheatre.
Members of the public can still catch BELLE today at 1.30pm. Tickets will be available at the entrance of the JIS Arts Centre.
Much like its previous musicals, 'BELLE' is also a charity event whereby a portion of the proceeds will be donated to SMARTER Brunei.
