A picture of a bride and groom has been harshly criticised on Reddit with some people saying the bride has "no self respect" and another saying it's "sexist"

A bride has been heavily criticised online after sharing a snap of her and her new husband.

When it comes to wedding pictures, photographers often capture the same shots.

The groom's face when the bride walks down the aisle, the moment the happy couple kiss after saying their vows and the tears shed by the parents during the speeches being just a few snaps among the many staple pictures taken of the big day.

But one newlywed's snaps has caused utter outrage online.

The woman appears to be starting her own bizarre bridal valet service of some kind, and people are utterly unimpressed.

The picture shared to Reddit with the caption "Hmmmm" definitely caught a lot of people's attention, after it received dozens of comments from disapproving users.

The odd scene shows the groom sitting in the drivers seat of his blue car, as he points to his wheel.

While his new bride is seen kneeling on the floor dressed in her beautiful white gown, as she uses the fabric of the dress to clean the arch of the tyre.

Although this might not be the craziest or raunchiest wedding trend to date, it was greeted with a lot of hate.

In the comment section one person said: "Does this woman have no self respect? Imagine happily posing for a photo that implies your husband loves and respects his car more than you.

"Quite sad really. One day she might have a daughter who will see this photo."

Another added: "Sexist and need to humiliate a woman. Makes me sad."

A third joked: "As someone who has done some basic work on cars, I feel like the fabric of a wedding dress would not do well with polishing the paint on those hub caps."

And others said: "Show very materialistic nature of the groom, no?" and "Now let’s see one with him using his tuxedo tail to spit shine her wheels, shall we?"

However a couple of people defended the pair, and said it could just be for a bit of fun.

One said: " Lots of judgemental people here. For all you know she might love that car just as much as him!"

And another commented: "Car girl here. I have a photo of me doing this in my uni graduation robe and I'll do the same at the wedding.

"If they're both car people then there is no harm in this pic, it is just a bit of fun for photos."
