‘Emulating Prophet key to building quality individuals’

The importance of emulating the Prophet (pbuh) as the principal role model and guide in life, particularly through understanding and practising the Prophet’s (pbuh) Sunnah and cultivating noble character to produce quality individuals, was underscored by Adjunct Professor at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali’s (UNISSA) Faculty of Usuluddin Professor Dr Abdul Somad.

He said this in a lecture on ‘The Sunnah of Rasulullah S.A.W.: A Guide to Building Quality Individuals’ at the UNISSA Auditorium, Gadong Campus.

He explained that an individual’s quality should not be measured solely by academic achievements, status or skills, but also by a balance of faith and piety, knowledge, good character and a strong relationship with Allah the Almighty.

Organised by UNISSA through its Centre for Leadership and Lifelong Learning, the lecture was held in conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul celebration.

The programme aimed to foster greater love for the Prophet (pbuh) while strengthening the UNISSA community’s understanding of the importance of the Sunnah as a guide in developing character, leadership and everyday life.

Rector of UNISSA Associate Professor Dr Abdul Nasir bin Haji Abdul Rani was the guest of honour.
