The Brunei-Muara District Police of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) recently held its quarterly meeting with Mukim Penghulus of Brunei-Muara District at the Kerma Setia Meeting Room, Police Officers’ Mess Complex in Gadong.
Meanwhile the appointment letter presentation ceremony and briefing for Kampong Kasat Neighbourhood Watch (PK) members of Mukim Lumapas, took place at the Theatre Hall of the Brunei-Muara District Office.
Both programmes were led by Acting Commanding Officer of the Brunei-Muara District Police Senior Superintendent of Police Haji Mohamad Noor bin Haji Abdul Rahman.
The quarterly meeting, attended by the Acting Assistant District Officer of Brunei-Muara and officers from the Brunei-Muara Police District, included a presentation on crime and road accident statistics for the period from January to September 2026.
This was followed by a question-and-answer session and an exchange of views on security issues, crime prevention and the Neighbourhood Watch initiative.
The appointment letter presentation ceremony and PK briefing were attended by RBPF officers and personnel, the Penghulu Mukim of Lumapas, the Village Head of Kampong Kasat and PK members.
The ceremony began with welcoming remarks and a briefing on the Neighbourhood Watch guidelines by Kampong Ayer Police Station Supervising Officer, Inspector Abu Bakar @ Addam bin Haji Junaidi.
A total of 19 Kampong Kasat PK members received appointment letters, presented by the Acting Commanding Officer of the Brunei-Muara Police District.
Both programmes aimed to strengthen cooperation and information-sharing between the police, Penghulus Mukims and local communities in maintaining public safety, preventing crime and improving the well-being of residents in Brunei-Muara District.
