Driving Agrifood System Transformation

The Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, FAO, will be organising the Asia-Pacific Food Forum, APFF, in conjunction with the 38th Session of the FAO Regional Conference for Asia and the Pacific, APRC. The Forum, which marks a significant milestone as the first of its kind to be hosted in Brunei Darussalam, is scheduled to take place on 22nd April.

The APFF serves as a regional platform to accelerate the transformation of agrifood systems through investment, science and innovation, as well as the leadership of women and youth. The Forum will be participated by distinguished speakers from both local and international backgrounds, bringing diverse perspectives and expertise across the agrifood sector. It is projected to attract some 150 participants, reflecting robust engagement at both regional and national levels. The Forum will focus on key areas such as promoting investment for impact, showcasing science and innovation to enhance productivity and competitiveness, and empowering youth and rural women as drivers of entrepreneurship and inclusive rural transformation.
