Drone light show tour celebrates His Majesty’s 80th birthday

Imagine Sdn Bhd officially flagged off the Imagine Drone Light Show Tour, a nationwide initiative delivered in partnership with the Embassy of China in Brunei Darussalam and Hengyi Industries, with its inaugural showcase at the Pentas Perayaan at Tudong Saji, Kuala Belait on Saturday evening.

Held in conjunction with the 80th Birthday Celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the tour serves as a tribute to His Majesty’s leadership and dedication over nearly six decades of reign through the fusion of technology, creativity and storytelling.

The evening commenced with an 800-drone light show, marking the official launch of the show.  The synchronised aerial performance transformed the night sky with breathtaking animations and symbolic formations, paying tribute to His Majesty’s legacy while reflecting Brunei Darussalam’s unity, resilience, cultural identity and aspirations for the future, while also celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Brunei-China diplomatic establishment.

Ambassador-designate of China to Brunei Darussalam Chen Shaochun said, “This year marks the 80th birthday of His Majesty, as well as the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Brunei. On this significant occasion, the Chinese Embassy in Brunei, in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs of Brunei, Imagine and Hengyi Industries have presented the drone show to convey the sincere birthday wishes of the Chinese Government and people to His Majesty, and to express our friendship and goodwill toward the people of Brunei.”
