Khatam Al-Quran ceremony strengthens family ties

Descendants of the Murah and Awang Jambol (MJ) families held a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony at a restaurant in Beribi to nurture generations that appreciate the teachings and understanding of Al-Quran.

Speaking at the event, the second chairman of the ceremony, Awang Haji Md Jaini bin Haji Ismail, explained that the family aspires to nurture generations who love Al-Quran by making its recitation a regular family practice, with the ceremony helping to further realise this aspiration.

He also expressed that the ceremony provided an opportunity for family members to reunite and strengthen ties.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the guest of honour, Masni Haji Ibrahim, followed by the recitation of Surah Ad-Dhuha and concluding with Surah An-Nas, led by Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Mohd Yusoff bin Haji Ismail, who also led the Doa Khatam and Doa Selamat.
