Twelve drone pilots from Brunei and abroad competed in the Borneo Drone GP Vol. 2 2026, held at the Brunei Shell Recreation Club (BSRC) in Seria from October 16 to 18.

Organised by the Village Consultative Council (MPK) of Kampung Sungai Teraban, the three-day competition brought together enthusiasts to showcase their skills in drone racing.

Competing in the Open category, pilots raced their customised drones around a specially designed track at the Municipal Field, aiming to complete the allocated laps within a set time.

Malaysia’s Lim Sheng Xiong emerged as the overall winner, followed by Bruneian pilot Md Arif Junaidi Zaini in second place and Isyrah Fahmi Osman in third.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies and Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin attended as guest of honour and presented prizes to the winners.
