The Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) under the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA), through its Convert Development Division (Convert Welfare), in collaboration with the Temburong District Da’wah Branch, handed over a generator to Nur Mazura Saniera binti Besar @ Mazura binti Besar, a convert in Temburong District in an effort to safeguard the welfare and well-being of converts in the country.
Other forms of assistance was also provided, including house construction and repairs, school supplies, lawnmower engines, water tanks and pumps, as well as essential daily necessities such as basic food supplies.
The assistance is among the initiatives undertaken by the PDI to support converts from underprivileged backgrounds, particularly in improving their comfort and quality of life.
The initiative also reflects the centre’s care and concern for the welfare of converts in the country, while serving as one of its dakwah approaches to demonstrate the beauty of Islam through acts of mutual assistance and concern for the well-being of the community.
Acting Assistant Director of the PDI, MoRA Pengiran Hajah Haslina Suriani binti Pengiran Haji Piut was the guest of honour. Head of the Convert Development Division at the PDI, MoRA Pengiran Hajah Ida Fariani binti Pengiran Haji Kamaluddin was also present. – James Kon
