Workshop promotes safer digital communication

The Brunei Malay Teachers Association (PGGMB) organised a short workshop on the effective and efficient use of the WhatsApp application recently to enhance knowledge and skills in using WhatsApp more safely and systematically.

PGGMB member Bahrin bin Dato Paduka Haji Yusof, who has expertise in information and communications technology (ICT), led the workshop.

It covered topics including an introduction to WhatsApp, storage management, clearing storage, automatic downloads, privacy and security settings, accessibility, chat functions and a question-and-answer session.

The workshop aimed to equip participants with knowledge on managing WhatsApp storage and data usage.

It also sought to strengthen account security and privacy, customise WhatsApp settings for greater convenience, manage chats and utilise WhatsApp’s practical features effectively, as well as promote safe and organised usage of the application. The workshop aimed to provide practical benefits to participants and enable them to use WhatsApp more wisely, effectively and safely in their daily activities.

The workshop was conducted in phases and was attended by 15 participants comprising PGGMB President Haji Mustapa bin Haji Masri, as well as members of the PGGMB Supreme Committee, Management Committee and staff.
