All 17 local government units (LGU) in Metro Manila are now classified as “low risk” for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) based on the assessment of independent research group OCTA.
Meanwhile, Navotas is classified as “very low risk” for COVID-19.
In its latest report, the group noted that the daily attack rate (ADAR) in the region was at 5.72 per 100,000 population.
“The positivity rate in the [National Capital Region] decreased to 5 [percent,] the reproduction number was 0.53. and the healthcare utilization was 30 [percent],” the report read.
The seven-day average of new COVID-19 cases in the NCR decreased by 14 percent. While some LGUs had a one-week growth rate, all 17 LGUs had reproduction numbers less than 0.9, meaning all LGUs in the region are “still on a downward trend.”
