​2 Indonesian men were charged in the Magistrate's Court, yesterday for possessing various types of cigarettes.

46-year old, Nasikun was issued $71,000 fine or 4 months imprisonment in default for possessing 90 cartons and 19 packets of cigarettes of various brands at workers house in Kampung Pengkalan Gadong. The accused failed to pay the fine and underwent imprisonment for 4 months starting 20th of November 2021.

Meanwhile, 41-year old Harno, was possessing 443 cartons and 5 packets of cigarettes of various types as well as cash amounting to $574 from the sale of cigarettes at workers house in Jalan Panchor Murai Limau Manis. The accused pleaded guilty and was sentenced to $300,000 or 9 months imprisonment if failed to pay the fine. The accused failed to pay the fine and underwent imprisonment for 22 months starting 23rd November 2021.
