East Assets Turnaround Activities by BSP

 May 3rd, 2024  |  06:16 AM  |   217 views

BSB

Scheduled turnaround activities in the upstream oil and gas sector involving East Assets will be carried out by Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sendirian Berhad, BSP starting from the 3rd of May 2024 until the 1st of July 2024.

The Department of Electrical Services, DES and BSP informed that the turnaround activity will possibly impact gas supply to the Tungku Gas Plant, which supplies gas to power stations owned by DES and Berakas Power Company Sendirian Berhad. This might cause power interruptions in certain areas across the country especially on 3rd until 5th May 2024. DES in close cooperation with the relevant stakeholders will ensure that any power interruptions are under control and areas that maybe affected will be notified immediately. In this regard, the public is advised to always practice prudent and efficient use of electricity by also adopting energy saving initiatives.
