BERAKAS

With the consent of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the COVID-19 Steering Committee announced that the Early Endemic Phase under the National COVID-19 Recovery Framework is extended until on Saturday, the 30th of April 2022. The matter was announced by the Minister of Home Affairs.

Meanwhile, the COVID-19 Steering Committee would also like to update the conditions for the guidelines-guidelines as follows:

• The selling of Antigen Rapid Test, ART through vending machines provided by the government will be eliminated as ART can be obtained in stores at low market prices

• Transport Operators who will be traveling cross-border on a lifting goods duty are only required to obtain a negative ART result at least twice a week, and are no longer required to obtain an RT-PCR test every two weeks. The ART results must be reported through the BruHealth apps and presented to authorities at the border control posts. The measures will commence immediately. The COVID-19 Steering Committee will continue to monitor and review the current situation of COVID-19 where the guidelines will be updated from time to time for the well-being of the country's citizens and residents. For any further and detailed information, visit the Prime Minister's Office's website at www.jpm.gov.bn.
