The Ministry of Defence and Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF, held a Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony simultaneously at all RBAF suraus in the four district, with the focal point being at Surau Ad-Difa', Bolkiah Garrison.

Present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohammad Yussof, Second Minister of Defence. Also present was Major General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of RBAF. Such a ceremony aimed to instil love towards reading Al-Quran and enhanced Al-Quran reading among the Ministry of Defence and RBAF staff.
