The importance of the Maqasid or Objectives of Syari'ah Principle in an organisation's governance as well as assimilation of the principle in the life of a civil servant was among the matters touched upon in the maqasid Syari'ah in management and administration held yesterday MORNING at the Prime Minister's Office.

Some one hundred participants comprising officers and staff under the Prime Minister's Office attended the briefing. The briefing was delivered by two facilitators, Doktor Awang Haji Noralizam bin Haji Aliakbar, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Syariah, Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College, and Awang Muhammad Yussof bin Haji Abdul Majid, Second Grade Special Duties Officer who is also the Acting Head Secretariat of the Muraqib Unit. The briefing explained the relevance of the Maqasid Syari'ah Principle in assuring social security and well-being as well as the nation's stability. It was organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs through the Muraqib Unit.
