The beauty of Islam also provides some guidelines known as Syariah with the guidance of Maqasid or objectives of Syariah. The matter was among those touched on by Awang Haji Muhd Shukri bin Haji Ahmad, Principal Shariah Adviser of BDCB in his presentation during the SAC 2022.

According to Awang Haji Muhd Shukri, the main objective of Syariah governance among others provides a structure and system for the governance of all business activities of Islamic Financial Institutions. He added, it aims to ensure shariah compliance at all times and at every level.

The session ran concurrently with the discussion titled "Penerokaan Isu dan Cabaran Tadbir Urus Syariah dalam Era Kewangan yang Dinamik" by four panelists.
